Roller Derby

....ROLER DERBY.....
We went to see our friends play in their Bout at Skateland and had a blast. I won the raffle that got us seats on the big couch so we didn't have to sit on the floor!! Ashley, Clay and Sara sat with us.

Our little Valentine!!

We had a great Valentine's Day! Daddy had to work during the day so Coen and Mommy went to Katie's Birthday party. We met up with Dad for Dinner at the Outback that evening. We had a wonderful time and Coen once again slept right through it!
Coen's Valentine gift from Grandma and Grandpa Reaves was the little red and pink cow in the picture and a book.

Coen's First time to Church (4 weeks 2 days old)

Pastor Dale Oquist and Coen. These guys are going to be buddies I'm sure!!
Coen slept through the whole service!!
Everybody was so happy to finally meet him.
Mom and Dad were glad to be back into the swing of things!

Coen is smiling!!

Oh my Gosh, this is the cutest picture in the world!! I'm crazy in love with this boy!! He started to smile at us this week and it is so adorable.

He has been able to lift his head and look around from the beginning. The kid is strong!

Bath Time

He loved the first bath after his umbilical cord fell off.
being able to get all the way wet was much better.

This face cracks me up!!

Cute random pictures of little Rocket

He was totally passed out after a car ride so I propped up on the couch when I took him out of the carseat. We didn't leave him like this of course, but we couldn't pass up getting a picture....He looked like a little old man.

This is my favorite Jacket and the last time he got to wear it because the sleeves are already too short for his long arms.

We don't encourage the thumb sucking, hence the binkies...but it's so cute!!

I love his huge hands!

The first front pack adventure

He slept the whole time but it was great. We liked being able to put him in it and go outside to get some sun and let the dogs run. We walked all over our property...it was a beautiful day!!

Hanging out with Daddy

Coen and Daddy watching the Superbowl together!!

Look at daddy Multitask!!! I had to pump for a week cause my nipples got really sore so Daddy got to help with feedings.

Coen loves to be on your chest. Josh always has to have a shirt on though cause he likes to pull daddy's chest hair....it's pretty funny when he gets a handful! At least I think so :)

First Dr. appt. (4 days old)

It was a quick appt. He was just looked over. They checked his jaundice which was much better, he only had a mild case of it in the first place. He pooped on the scale and cried most of the time cause he didn't like being naked. It stressed me out more than him I think but we all made it through it and he's a healthy baby!! He weighed 8 pounds 10oz. the Dr. said that was good and that he should start gaining again since my milk came in.

I loved his outfit this day especially his seahawks beanie!!

1st bath

Coen had his first bath at five days old. He didn't like it very much, I think it would have been better if I could have submerged his whole body but, since he still has his umbilical cord we'll have to wait for that. He definitely like getting into his bathrobe afterwards though!! (Thanks for the robe Nanna!!)

Friday the 16th is the day!!

I went to the Dr. today and started out with my NST (Non Stress Test) as normal but it wasn't normal cause Coen was rowdy this morning. They couldn't get a good reading and his heart rate at times looked odd. They sent me over to the hospital where I was on monitors for another hour and everything turned out just fine. He was just a little jumping bean and kept throwing his heart monitors out of whack.
Dr. Dickason came over and examined me there and come to find out.....nothings changed. I'm not dilated and his head is still very high. He hangs out in my ribcage....not comfy for mommy!! So after a discussion with Dr. D we are going to have a C-section on Friday the 16th. He just got too big to fit into my pelvis and is getting bigger by the day. It feels great to know that by the end of the week Josh and I will be parents but it's a little scary too. We are as ready as we can be though, bags are packed, house is clean, laundry is all caught up!! I just wish those last two would stay that way.....

Our little butterball

I had a very long Dr. appt today. The NST was good, Coen is not stressed.....he's fat and happy. We found out the he is just 2 ounces shy of nine pounds....that's right, 8 pounds 14 ounces!! No wonder I can hardly breathe or sleep these days. I tried to get a plan from the Dr. but she wants to wait one more week and see if I start dilating on my own. Because, as of now I got nothin' going on down there and his head is still pretty high. Basically I think I'm headed for a C-section. She said it's about a 50/50 chance. If he continues to gain like he has (1/2 a pound and week) then he'll be "over the limit"(9.5 pounds) and they will want to do a c-section anyway. Thank you Gestational Diabetes!! I've made it through the holidays and I'm always starving lately. I've kept my blood sugar levels just right with a lot of hard work and he's still huge!! I actually lost 2 pounds last week!!! I live on cheese sticks!!
Prayers worked for getting him turned head down so lets pray I start to go on my own and can possibly avoid a C-section.......Either way he comes he's coming out a little butterball!!

What's new...

We are all settled into our new house in Tenino across from Josh's Mom and Dad's. Thanks to ALOT of hard work from Roger. It's great to be settled because I'm a nesting fool these days. I've been home for the last two weeks thanks to winter break. My boss works for the school district so we get time off when the schools do. It's been fun getting organized and prepared for Coen to arrive. I'm starting to feel ansy and ready for the big day. Josh is also ready, he practiced putting a stuffed animal in the carseat the other day. He's also really excited to get to watch the super bowl with his son.
I go in on monday for my next appt. I'll be 38 weeks!! They will do another non stress test because of the gestational diabetes, an ultra sound to see how big he's got since last time and then I will meet with my Dr. to talk about it all. Three weeks ago he already weighed 6.7 pounds and was breech!! But, thanks to alot of prayers he flipped on his own!! I'm trying to avoid a C-section if possible so hopefully he doesn't grow too big.
I can't believe he's almost here....I feel like we just found out yesterday that I was pregnant!!
